Job Description Established over 10 years, our client is Australia's leading multi-platform game development studio responsible for a number of award winning titles. They have wide experience across sports, action and military themed titles.

Currently they are focussed on a new project based on a highly acclaimed, award winning franchise.

RELOCATION ASSISTANCE & BENEFITS

Where required our client will assist in securing a Working Visa, relocation expenses and short term accommodation for successful applicants.

OVERVIEW

The Creative Director will have responsibility for creating design targets, and maintaining the design of all games within the studio. The Creative Director maintains the design integrity throughout the entire project, ensuring consistency and the highest competitive quality.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leading all designers in the conception and implementation of all game features.

• Providing direction to the team in the creation of innovative game mechanics and an engaging player experience.

• Maintaining a collaborative relationship with other Directors.

• Architecting the creation of all design documentation.

• Help with generation of schedules for design team members.

• Hiring of new design team members.

• Working with the Producer on the focus and scope of the game over the course of development.

• Hands-on prototyping of game content during concept development phase.

KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• At least 6 years as a designer or equivalent in the game industry.

• Experience with a game development team of 30 people or more.

• One or more shipped titles in a lead design role that includes direct reports.

• Demonstrable knowledge of design concepts and the ability to apply them.

• Experience with creating games for consoles.

• Solid scheduling and organizational skills, as well as clear “people skills”.
