Job Description SimBin is looking for an experienced game developer versatile in many technologies used in game development for PC.

You will lead the game team and drive the evolution of SimBin games from a technical point of view by managing a small but dedicated programming team with a mix of juniors/seniors. You will also cooperate with other teams such as the backend team, web team as well as content teams working on RaceRoom Racing Experience and future projects.

R3E is a free2race game with micro-transactions based around your permanent online persona built in the portal.

You will be working with us in Lidköping, Sweden, on the shores of Lake Vänern and in a newly built and ultra-modern office, which houses one of the world’s largest RaceRooms. We are using a personalized SCRUM method to make things happen and get everyone on the same page. We will help you move here and host you in the company apartment until you can settle in.

What we expect from you:
  • You are a natural leader with at least a few years documented experience in a senior position in the video games industry
  • You have a proven track record of delivering complex tech solution on time
  • You enjoy being in a position responsible for substantial parts of the overall project
  • You are forth coming with overall planning and not afraid to bring bad news to project management whenever a part of the project can be at risk
  • You react well under stress (when you have to deliver YESTERDAY and nothing works)
  • You have insight in the MMO/F2P model and understand the technical challenges that comes with it

We need your experience in:
  • Leading a team
  • C++ and OOP to be at expert level
  • Game development and deployment
  • Innovative research and long-term maintenance
  • Experience with render programming
  • Experience with large-scale network programming

It would be helpful if you possess:
  • Experience with development of racing games or client based games in general
  • Some experience of python and C# to better understand our backend solutions
  • A huge interest in math and algorithms
  • Experience with agile development methods
  • An interest in games and entertainment
  • An interest in cars or motorsports
