The primary objectives of the Senior Build Programmer are to provide technical knowledge and expertise to the Program Office. In particular, to work closely with senior management to define the strategy for automated testing and work closely with both QA and game developers to develop, implement and ensure the successful adoption of automated testing processes across all products in development for SEGA Europe. In addition, this person will be expect to liaise closely with the corresponding roles in other SEGA territories to ensure the incorporation and adoption of best practice processes in automated testing. Additionally, other key objectives are to verify the content and viability of archive materials received from developers and update these archives to support new features where required; and to identify & investigate any security breaches related to SEGA products.
1) To review and verify all archive projects received by SEGA to ensure that the project can be built from the files provided by the developer
2) Investigate any potential cracks or unauthorised duplication and/or distribution of SEGA projects that may be present on the internet or any other medium
3) To develop and implement automated testing processes for QA to use in conjunction with development teams in order to improve the efficiency of how we test products in development
4) To mentor and train Build programmer role as appropriate
