| Job Description | My client is a fresh indie games studio focused on creating quirky and original digital games. Based in Covent Garden, Central London they produce super high quality games on a range of platforms from Facebook and iPhone to the PSP. They build custom games for clients such as EA, Disney, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. In addition we design and publish our own original games on a range of digital platforms. Some of their recent titles include Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess! and Whos that Flying?!' Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities You'll be working with as a Lead Console Developer at Mediatonic, overseeing other developers (both internal and external), advising on systems & technology we adopt and getting hands on with our biggest projects. Our games project timelines typically run for between 3 - 9 months. At any one time we anticipate you will be involved in between 3 - 5 projects at a high level, getting hands on in 1 major project. Job responsibilities include: - Planning technical implementation of projects - Get hands on with our toughest technical challenges - Prototyping game concepts - Evaluating and advising on new technologies & platforms - Lead development of our internal tools & frameworks - Contribute ideas & observations for new tools, services & efficiency savings - Overseeing and assisting other developers (both inside & outside our office) You will be working across a wide range of platforms including: - XBLA - PSN - PSP Vita - Minis (PS3 / PSP) - iPhone / iPad - Android - Steam This is a challenging and dynamic role. You'll have the opportunity to get stuck into some innovative, original projects with a team of professional developers, building games played by millions of people across the world. Requirements The following things are required for the role - An exceptional amount of experience within the games industry, shipped games on a wide variety of platforms - Familiarity with good development practices - Passionate about the potential of the digital games space.
