| Job Description | My client is a fresh indie games studio focused on creating quirky and original digital games. Based in Covent Garden, Central London they produce super high quality games on a range of platforms from Facebook and iPhone to the PSP. They build custom games for clients such as EA, Disney, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. In addition we design and publish our own original games on a range of digital platforms. Some of their recent titles include Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess! and Whos that Flying?!' Key Responsibilities Initially, you'll be getting hands on helping to build an original, first party downloadable title. You will play a key role in a small, nimble team tackling things such as: - Game play programming - Network programming - Game engine (2d) programming - Prototyping new mechanics and concepts - Building self contained mini-games and features - Offer input and suggestions on game play and design - Diagnosing & repairing problems or bugs More widely outside of this project you can be expect to be involved in innovative, original titles on a wide number of platforms including XBLA, PSP Vita, Minis and on Mobile. This is a challenging and dynamic role. You'll have the opportunity to get hands on in a small team and have a huge impact on the games we develop. Requirements The following things are required for the role - Several years experience within the games industry - Intimate knowledge of C++ - Familiarity with good development practices - Passionate about the potential of the digital games space. We are looking for someone who genuinely cares about the quality of work they produce. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
