Job Description We require a talented Unity Gameplay Programmer to join us in the work on exciting new game projects. We can’t tell you about the projects yet, but what we can tell you is that you’ll be making really fun polished gameplay features to be proud of! So if you are a bright and enthusiastic programmer with experience in Unity, then we’d love to hear from you!
We think that you are someone who’s truly passionate about the games you make, with solid experience working on console and/or tablet games and good knowledge of games made by other studios.At Relentless you will be an integral part of our close-knit team making brand new genre-defining products. As well as working hard, we also like to let our hair down – we fit as many drinks, doughnuts and celebrations into the year as we possibly can! Moreover, with us you will get to enjoy sensible working hours so that you can make the most of all that Brighton has to offer.

Main Tasks and Accountabilities:
  • Help plan and prioritise work on games within Relentless
  • Produce technical designs
  • Produce and maintain clean, efficient, high-quality, stable and well-documented code
  • Maintain clear, well-targeted documentation
  • Optimise your code with direction from peers
  • Help improve existing process quality and efficiency
  • Manage your own time effectively

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent C# and C++ software engineering, debugging and optimisation skills
  • Knowledge of Unity3D development tools and process
  • Knowledge of other languages such as Lua or Java advantageous
  • Knowledge of source control software such as Perforce
  • Good knowledge of games made by other companies

  • BSc Honours in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Solid experience in the games industry
  • Experience working with consoles or tablets preferred
  • Experience of every stage of game development with multiple published titles preferred
  • Good knowledge of games made by other studios
