| Job Description | Our client is a well established studio, they have built up a fantastic repuation and are now looking to expand their team. The role requires the successful applicant to work in a small team of programmers under the guidance of the R&D Director developing technology for multiple games across multiple platforms. The team work using agile methods. This specialist will be involved in all new projects in the studio to setup their build processes including automated builds and testing frameworks. It isn't considered that this part of the role will be full time the rest of the role will involve other R&D duties. •Creation of automated build processes •Creation of automated testing processes •Evaluation of existing tech and middleware •Overall architecture design •Systems requirements capture, analysis, design, implementation and testing •Programming mainly using C++ •Creation of documentation •Maintenance of existing systems Essential Skills • C++ programming experience • Experience using Visual Studio .net or similar • Experience using version control software Perforce or similar • Experience programming at least one of these consoles : PS2/X360/PS3/Wii • Experience of automated build systems, for instance the continuous integration system Cruise Control • Experience of automated testing systems • Experience using make scripts or similar, perhaps having cygwin skills • Passion for computer games • Good teamwork skills • Strong verbal communicator Desirable Skills • Experience of shader programming • Experience of network programming • Experience of assembler programming • Strong math skills • Experience using agile methodology Scrum or similar • Experience using the scripting language Lua or similar • Experience shipping commercial games •Computer or science related Degree (2:2 or above) or Masters •Be able to work to deadlines to meet key milestone deliveries •Team player •Proven ability to self motivate and time manage •A sense of humour and a want to make games that are stylish and fun .
