SENIOR AI PROGRAMMER

Based in the Netherlands my client is looking for a Senior AI programmer to help design and implement new features for the AI systems and to assist the design department in creating game play by creating and modifying NPC behaviour.

  • Implementing robust and autonomous NPC behaviour based on high level design input.
  • Assisting designers in setting up encounters to make the most out of the available behaviours.
  • Extending and modifying the AI framework.


Requirements:

  • You have extensive experience in the AI programming field, preferably in the games industry;
  • You can work in a structured way, in C++, to generate easy to understand code while still keeping track of memory / performance aspects.
  • You have a strong interest in creating exciting game play.
  • You are comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • You are comfortable working with a large code base.
  • You have a service oriented and helpful approach to others.
  • You have excellent English communication skills.
  • You keep track of the current state of the art in AI programming through articles and conference proceedings.
  • You've worked on (and completed) one or more games.
  • You must be able to provide demo/source code with your application for this position.
