My client is seeking an experienced and passionate Business Intelligence Developer to join them as a key contributor on an exciting and ambitious new title. The ideal candidate is someone who has proven experience in designing and implementing Business Intelligence Solutions from large volume/high velocity sources using Microsoft technologies. The role will focus on implementation and delivery of data pipelines to facilitate our analytics for a variety of business users.

Key Accountabilities:

• Responsible for the technical design, development and ongoing maintenance of data pipelines
• Creation of scripts for ETL processes using technologies such as PowerShell
• Work closely with the BI and Programming teams to define and implement data processing flows
• Contribute to technical design and implementation of Business Intelligence solutions, including Data Warehouses, SQL Server Integration Services, Analysis Services
• Assist planning and delivering service infrastructure to support future business needs
• Support the implementation of data visualisation and reporting systems

Essential Experience

• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical individuals
• Strong scripting skills with the Windows platform (PowerShell, Windows batch scripts, C#)
• Big Data experience; such as Hadoop and MapReduce technologies, Hive, etc.
• Cloud platform experience (Azure, SQL Azure, Azure Table Storage, Amazon EC2, etc.)
• Proven experience of implementing Business Intelligence Solutions from high volume data sources using Microsoft SQL Server technologies (SQL Server Integration Services 2008/2012, SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Reporting Services)
• Experience implementing self-service Business Intelligence solutions
• Working in an Agile/SCRUM environment as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Evaluation and implementation of third-party tools and components where appropriate
• Passion for playing Online/Multiplayer/MMO games
• Previous experience delivering Business Intelligence Solutions on at least one released large scale software system
• Previous experience delivering visualisation and reporting solutions
• Microsoft qualification in Business Intelligence would prove an advantage
