| Job Description | The QA Director is responsible for the QA Department (People, Projects and Processes) for all projects. The key activities are Strategic Planning, Organizing, Directing, Monitoring and Coaching the QA Team with a focus on the QA Managers. All department directors ensure project and studio success through delivery of world class systems and content, in the development of the best story driven games in the world. Responsibilities QA Department Management (Quality of Service) – Responsible for test planning, organizing, monitoring and mentoring the QA team. Includes resource forecasting, hiring and scheduling activities. Provide department reports. Build and reinforce interdepartmental relationships by driving excellence in communication. Fully partner with project teams to ensure people and processes deliver on project objectives. Collaborate with Project Directors to support projects with resource requirements, scheduling and risks. Developing QA Strategy / Plan and Executing on it to Create Business (Results) – Responsible for planning, strategizing and implementing QA systems and processes to accomplish strategic goals of the organization. Identify and promote industry best practices. People Management – Managing the activities of the QA department. This includes performance management, coaching, conflict resolution and motivating and engaging. Manage growth and development of personnel, with career development, performance management and succession planning. Ownerships QA Department (People, Processes and Projects) Quality of Service Required Experience 5 years in Quality Assurance Leadership Role (Strongly Recommended) 5 years as a Software Quality Assurance Tester (Required) Required Skills, Abilities and Knowledge Strong Time and Task Management (Complex, Fuzzy) Strong Problem Identification and Solving Ability Strong Communicator Strong Understanding of Software Quality Assurance Practices Good Understanding of the Software Development Process Focused on continuous improvement Strong People Management Skills Strong Project Management Skills To apply for this position please contact Daniel on 01206 544 044 or email officemanager@opmjobs.com |
