OPM are working with a client founded in 2009 by industry veterans with the declared aim to produce AAA titles on next-gen platforms.


  • To source quality candidates to fulfil all staffing needs

- Source and administrate direct applicant pool

- Draft and maintain website copy

- Work with directors on targeted advertising

- First line liaison and relationship management of external agencies

- Propose and implement an appropriate external agency PSL strategy

- Propose and execute standard term sheet

  • Build and uphold an effective recruitment administration and communication system

- Propose, implement and sustain an effective candidate tracking system

- Propose and implement an effective approval process

- Communicate with every applicant as appropriate, communicating with and representing applicants to hiring managers

- Work alongside hiring managers to develop job descriptions

- Take up references for successful candidates

- Weekly reporting to hiring managers and directors on recruitment status

  • Be the external face of the studio

- Liaise with candidates at all levels

- Represent the company on social media channels as a potential employer

- Represent the company at careers fairs and industry events

- Build relationships with colleges and universities and represent the company as a potential employer

  • Implement metrics system to help studio leadership measure and manage recruitment effectiveness and retention

- Conduct and document exit interviews

  • Measure attrition, direct application and agency effectiveness etc. and present to studio leadership


  • Knowledge

- Substantial experience recruiting within video games is essential

- Existing relationships with relevant recruitment agencies preferable

- Familiar with video game roles and positions

- Experience of recruitment advertising strategies

- Exceptional understanding of social media recruiting strategies

  • Skills

- Extremely organised

- Experienced interviewer

- Able to organise recruitment events and fairs

  • Abilities

- Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral

- Capability to organise busy and multifaceted workload with minimal supervision

- Comfortable liaising with company directors and stakeholders

- Discrete - able to manage confidential information appropriately
