OPM’s client builds and manages connected games, video and music services in 54 countries around the world. The department this role is responsible for is among the fastest growing groups within the company and manages services that touch over 250M connected devices. The video team manages the content acquisition, digitization, operations, marketing, programming and product management for my client’s video services.

The Senior Manager of Content Acquisition will lead all content acquisitions efforts for my client’s video service in Europe, based in either London or Paris. The main responsibility will be to manage the content strategy and programming direction for each territory.
Responsibilities:

Manage negotiations, financial analysis, and contract drafting for new and existing deals.
Develop market expertise about the competitive landscape in each territory in Europe; evaluate and execute roll-out plans for new territory expansion.
Track catalogue performance and perform ongoing analysis of the content offering in partnership with studios/networks to build the business.
Lead efforts to obtain rights for new video features and functionality.
Understand trends in content security, business and usage models.
Work closely with the internal teams (Marketing, Content Operations and Product) on promotional activities, on-boarding of new partners and new product functionality.

Requirements:
Considerable knowledge of digital entertainment, including an understanding of digital distribution, entertainment and video content acquisition.
Strong communication skills and deck writing capabilities.
Strong statistics and modeling skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and on a standalone basis.
Ability to think strategically, including synthesizing large volumes of data into concise, well-presented strategic recommendations.
Ability to create, analyse and summarize complex financial models.
Excellent time and project management abilities.
Travel within Europe and international travel to the US will be required.
