The Multilingual Moderator is a key member of the Moderation Team, responsible for enforcing Terms of Service across the various online environments and channels.

Being a good team player is essential in this role as you will be working within a large and culturally diverse team with workflows that require a high level of awareness of the fast-paced and ever-changing world of digital, networked environments.

The Multilingual Moderator will be required to provide moderation services across numerous languages, as required by the needs of the team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and moderating UGC, using the different tools available; ensuring compliance with policies, terms and conditions; proactively monitoring online channels and titles for potential issues. UGC can be text-, image-, audio- or video-based.
  • Principle focus of moderation is online services – such as private console messaging and streaming – and numerous 1st Party titles, Forums, bespoke websites and social media.
  • Moderate social media channels such as Facebook or YouTube.
  • Provide feedback on moderation tools in order to improve effectiveness of the moderation tasks.
  • In-game moderation. Patrol the online environment of 1st party titles in order to ensure a healthy and enjoyable online gaming experience
  • Complete basic localisations relevant to moderation tools and processes.
  • Escalate community issues (server crashes, log in problems etc.) into the business.
  • Escalate product bugs reported by the community such as game glitch or cheats
  • Performance UAT for moderation tools to ensure the smooth operation of the software at its final stage.
  • Monitor community admin mailboxes, replying to users’ emails where possible or passing them onto the suitable team.
  • Play a part in helping to improve moderation services and overall consumer experience

Skills & Experience

  • High standard of both German and English, both spoken and written
  • Thorough comprehension of at least one of the following languages: Russian, Portuguese, Dutch, French, Italian, Arabic, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Polish.
  • Experience of online community moderation
  • Excellent understanding of consumer behaviour and how it can be influenced.
  • A working knowledge and understanding of online community platform moderation tools (forums, blogs etc.).
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the gaming industry and heritage.
  • Good understanding of the different social media channels and understanding of their different audiences.
  • Ability to work as part of a globally dispersed family.
  • Excellent team player, with a positive attitude, and fun to work with.
