I am working with one of the leading independent game studios in the world who are now looking for a Lead Tools Programmer to help realise their vision for the next blockbuster on future generation consoles.

You would take responsibility of leading the in-house tools development team and play a key role in developing tools needed in making successful games the most effective and comfortable way.

They are creating new tools that will help shape the studios next AAA title so they expect passion and long-term dedication to tools development.
You would be working closely with engine programmers and content creators as well as participate in high level planning with the studio leads.

Required knowledge:
-Extensive experience in developing efficient & user-friendly tools (art audio etc.) & content pipelines for games. Ideally you have shipped multiple titles on console or PC.
-Experience in team & project leading and management
-Strong programming skills especially in C++ and C#/.NET (MS Visual Studio WPF MFC)
-Passion for games
-A proactive attitude
-Fluent written & spoken English

Additional knowledge and experience:

-Experience in developing tools for cinematic story telling
-Experience with UDK CryEngine or Unity and their toolsets
-Experience with Max/Maya/XSI and their SDKs
-Agile development experience
-User interface and workflow design
-Documentation and presentation skills
-Test Driven Development (e.g. NUnit)
-Scripting languages (Python Lua JavaScript)
