OPM are working with one of the UK’s leading development studios that are looking for an experienced Audio programmer to work on upcoming projects in a high profile, multi-million selling franchise.

The studio is looking for someone with at least 3 years’ experience in the industry and possess excellent working knowledge of game audio systems.

Ideally you should be a gamer who is driven to make the best sounding games available on any platform.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Improving and implementing in-house tools, engine and gameplay audio features.

- Collaboration with the development team to design and implement systems that will enable them to realize their vision for the game

- Supporting the Audio team, providing advice, clear documentation and promoting best practices

- Liaise with other departments and studios to improve and share audio technology

Skills and experience:

- Experience and pro-efficiency in C/C++, streaming systems, multithreading and 3D Mathematics

- Ability to write clear, maintainable and portable code

- Solid software architecture, design skills and ability to communicate these clearly

- Optimization strategies and debugging skills

- Comfortable working at both high and low levels of the game engine

- Prior experience with console audio development

- An understanding and interest in Audio acoustic modeling

- Knowledge of DSPs and audio effects development

- Self-disciplined with the ability to plan schedules and work to deadlines

- Working knowledge of C# and higher level scripting languages (LUA, Python)

- Experience and pro-efficiency around a DAW (Nuendo, Protools, Logic)

- ASM knowledge for optimization and debugging purposes

- Experience with localization pipelines

- Experience with audio middleware packages (FMOD, WWise)

- Experience of graphical patching environments (MAX/MSP, Reaktor)

- A working “user” knowledge of Maya (2009+)

- Knowledge of asset management system
