We are in search of a creative and passionate Senior Business Development Manager with the vision, discipline and leadership to drive strategic relationships and programs with companies that publish and develop interactive entertainment for Microsoft’s platforms including Xbox 360, Xbox Live, Windows Phone and Windows 8. Team/Department Mission Our team specializes in strategic program design, contract negotiation, business modeling, financial analysis, tracking business performance, policy review, and the integrity of related operations. As part of our team, you will work with Europe based and global account management, marketing, product groups, Legal, and finance teams to negotiate and manage core business relationships, strategic investments and special programs with interactive entertainment publishers and developers. You will drive the definition of business processes and tools to efficiently manage those relationships and measure our progress against strategic commitments. You will have the opportunity to work with multiple levels of management across Europe, Asia, and the Americas to shape our games business strategy and policies. Key Accountabilities Analyzing European and global market opportunities and creating strategies for new lines of game-related businesses that will drive revenue growth and shareholder value. Negotiating and closing contracts with key partners to support Microsoft’s strategic initiatives in the video game industry in Europe and beyond. Managing execution and contract compliance for deals you close Driving the regional execution and operation of Microsoft’s games initiatives and across multiple product groups, subsidiaries, and regional operating centres. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Broad understanding of the entertainment software industry, including a deep understanding of how ‘ecosystems’ function in the Mobile, Windows, handheld, and console gaming businesses, both online and offline; Effective negotiation skills, especially with companies that may be simultaneously customers, vendors, and competitors; A proven track record of successfully managing external partnerships and driving joint business opportunities; Strong business maturity and acumen. Executive presence, confidence and maturity; Strong problem-solving skills including the ability to working closely with business, finance, legal, account management, and engineering teams and find “win-win” solutions; Excellent organizational, communication, and cross organization collaboration skills, with experience working in highly-matrixed organizations; Strong presentation, creation, and delivery skills to multiple levels within own and partner organizations; Solid analytical capabilities to understand and present success metrics for business opportunities; Ability to thrive working with different cultures/backgrounds; and Special Requirements/Additional Information e.g. Language Skills French language fluency a plus Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer and supports workforce diversity Microsoft’s privacy statement can be viewed on the following web page: http://privacy.microsoft.com/en-gb/default.mspx |
