Lift London has an exciting opportunity for a passionate digital marketing professional to evolve and implement social media & community strategies for a new studio dedicated to cutting edge games with an emphasis on emerging business models. The ideal person will be immersed in what it means to “live life online” through channels such as Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc., and understands that even just a single tweet can go a long way towards effective use of owned media for effective customer acquisition in a crowded digital games marketplace. Specific to this role is a passion for games of all kind (PC, Mobile, Console etc.) and a genuine curiosity for emerging genres and business models.

This position will drive the strategic groundwork of Lift London’s digital engagement with consumers using existing and emerging experiences on the social web. The ideal candidate will be fluent in online campaign engagement, thrive on constant change, and focus on delivering impact and results. The ability to drive business impact is imperative as is being able to show ROI on digital activities as it relates to customer acquisition and retention. These will be your key metrics for success. We are looking for a social media & communities maven that eats breathes and sleeps digital engagement and has an acute ability to sell through ideas with strong logic, data and conviction. A deep understanding of our target entertainment segments and where/how to best reach them is vital to ensure smart, targeted campaigns.

The role will engage in cross-group collaboration to identify and integrate digital tools and hooks into the games development process to give us access to actionable data supporting outreach to prospects and users worldwide. In this role, you will stay up to date on the latest digital developments, consumer behaviours, and emerging trends with a specific focus on identifying current and future opportunities to drive the Lift London brand and our games through digital channels. A broad working knowledge of CRM, web marketing, search engine optimization, online media buying in addition to social media is required for effective cross-group campaign development. Tracking best practices in the industry and being willing to create our own breakthrough activities is also fundamental. We live, eat, breathe the space keeping up to date on the competition, the industry and developing trends.

The ideal candidate must understand and be immersed in both established (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, YouTube) and emerging digital channels. We are looking for a strong collaborator and team player that can function in an ambiguous, cross-group, fast paced environment. They must be experienced and confident enough to take risks and deal with uncertainty while exhibiting “try and test” strategies when warranted. Failing faster to succeed is the name of the game. This role requires excellent communication and presentation skills to regularly report to the executive team and evangelize Lift London’s digital programs to other Microsoft marketing teams, filling the role of subject matter expert (SME) in this domain.

This role requires a passion for gaming & digital media with an intense curiosity about the future of how consumers interact with each other, consume and engage with our content, and develop affinity to brands online. Agility and flexibility required.

Key Responsibilities include:

•Partner with the performance marketing team to build a best in class acquisition and retention model for Lift London
•Set the overall strategy and goals that result in industry leading digital executions, pushing the envelope into new and emergent areas
•Identify and scope opportunities to integrate digital executions as part of larger integrated marketing campaigns that impact Lift London’s business goals
•Develop engagement plans for both prospects and existing players through owned digital channels
•Business case ownership, agency relationships, and program management
•Drive preference for our games and build Lift London’s brand overall through digital channels
•Social Media thought leadership within the studio and collaboration across Microsoft
•Team budget management and ROI efforts

Position Requirements:
•Solid online marketing experience with a strong focus on latest online technologies and trends
•Social credibility: is an active and avid participant in the digital space
•Must be an enthusiastic and avid gamer, industry leadership a plus
•Creative, with an ability to generate ideas and work within minimal guidance
•Demonstrated success in digital executions with data driven plans, results, and insights
•Leadership capability based in strong communication and interpersonal skills
•Solid project management skills
