| Job Description | LOCALISATION MANAGER Jagex Ltd, one of the worlds largest independent computer games development studios, is looking for an exceptionally talented individual to take on the task of managing our translation department. At present the department consists of two teams of German and French translators, but this shall be expanded upon to include additional languages in the near future. Jagex develops and publishes PC browser games internationally, with over six million active players. The company is built on its industry-leading bespoke technology and the Localisation Manager would work closely with French and German Translation team leaders to plan and manage the localisation of RuneScape and future products into multiple languages. Key duties include: Manage projects across multiple translation teams to meet quality standards and achieve deadlines; Directly managing translation unit leaders to get team estimates, progress reports and updates; Provide excellent reporting on current project status and future workloads; Initiate and manage large scale translation projects with external agencies where necessary; Calculate resource needs and assist in recruiting to capacity. Managing team member performance and motivation, providing inspirational leadership and direction to individuals and the team as a whole. Identifying market opportunities and liaising with external companies to ensure the successful implementation of localisation projects; Requirements: Strong leadership skills, with a lead by example approach; Highly organised and capable of managing constant change in priorities; Excellent experience of project management in a similar field; Proven experience of managing multiple projects through to completion; Excellent attention to detail and passionate about success; Highly computer literate, with working knowledge of common project management software; Strong communicator both verbally and written. Strong personality. Qualifications: Translation degree or related subject. Also useful: Knowledge and/or understanding of any European language(s) would be looked upon very favourably. Salary: £37 - £44k (depending on experience), plus excellent benefits package including annual bonus, private healthcare and gym membership. Location: Cambridge.
