Description:

Our Client, a leading independent developer of video games based in the heart of London are looking for a talented and hard working Senior Programmer to become part of and to help manage an engineering team working on world leading software titles. The role will require the leading of the engineering team and working with production and the other disciplines to achieve the products vision. It will also require hands on implementation of code on the title.

Responsibilities:
• Technical design
• Module implementation
• Estimation and planning
• Mentoring and managing the engineering team
• Working with the other discipline leads and production team to deliver a successful product

Essential Skills/qualifications:
• Strong C++ • Object-oriented design
• Team player
• Strong technical skills with experience in managing engineering teams.
• University degree or similar qualification

Desirable Skills:
• Flexibility (programming teams are generally small so the candidates will likely be asked to work on a variety of different areas during a typical project)
• Extended experience in one or more areas, in particular:AI / Game-play, Networking, User interface
• An interest in or skilled at art
