Network Programmer - New Title

Job Description An Independent Development Company is looking for an experienced Online/Network Programmer to work as part of the programming team on a new online title for PS3 and PC.

Reporting directly to the Lead Programmer you must have the following qualities:

•Must be self motivating, intelligent and enthusiastic.
•Able to plan and schedule a solution for a set goal.
•Excellent written and verbal communications skills required.
•Must have strong software engineering and debugging skills.
•At least three years work-place programming experience.
•Experience of Console development preferred.
•Excellent C++ knowledge essential.
•Experience of game-side network code such as addressing latency and lag, client-side prediction and correction issues.
•Asynchronous, network client and or server programming knowledge beneficial.
•A good understanding of the production process.
•A Self-disciplined and proactive approach to work with an appetite to learn.
