Job Description Are you a talented games industry professional with a passion for mobile and tablet gaming? Our Client is an ambitious studio creating amazing games for some of the most successfull game publishers woldwide.They are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join them. The Business Development Manager will be a confident, highly motivated individual with a proven record of accomplishment within a sales/business development role within a game development environment. They must exhibit a sincere desire to play a key role in growing the capacity and success of the studio.

Working as part of a talented and passionate management team you will have direct responsibility for growing the work-for-hire and partnership business of the studio. Your skill, hard work and dedication in a fast paced, creative environment will deliver new leads, increased business scale, a wider variety of clients, entry to new markets, improved repeat business and increased margins.

Responsibilities:
  • Own the sales and marketing strategy for the studio.
  • Drive ambitious sales targets, whilst fulfilling current ones
  • Grow and maintain a worldwide network of industry contacts across relevant sectors.
  • Identify and approach new leads.
  • Gather data on all relationships to analyse, model and structure this information allowing the development of a strategic approach to potential and current client relationships.
  • Pitch the studio, products and services in person at a variety of trade events.
  • Close deals whilst negotiating the best possible terms.
  • Establish and maintain a strong understanding of the global mobile games industry and trends as a means to identify business opportunities.


Requirements:
  • Degree level education in a business discipline strongly preferred.
  • 4+ years experience in business development, or sales, within the games industry.
  • Proven record of sales performance with a game development environment.
  • Strong theoretical background, with strategic thinking and keen negotiating skills - providing transferable skills and mentoring capacity.
  • Ability to understand structure and negotiate complex business agreements, strong business and financial acumen, and superior analytical and communication skills.
  • Fluency in widely used business applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint
  • Driven personality, strongly motivated by achieving ambitious targets and opening exciting new opportunities.
  • Preference for candidates with entrepreneurial experience and a global outlook.
