Lead Engine Programmer

An opportunity exists for a talented Lead Engine Programmer to join the Technology Team. This is a unique opportunity to work on defining the tools and technology for the company’s next-generation games.

Role:-

- Define, implement and maintain the programming schedule

- Development of tools and technology in the support of game development teams.

- Research and development of new technologies for Playstation3 and Xbox 360.

- Development of reusable systems architecture.

- Support and maintenance of tools.

- Design and implementation of game content pipelines.

- Training and tuition of developers in the use of tools and technology.

- Reports to the Technical Director.

Requirements:-

- Significant Industry management experience.

- Strong C/C++.

- Specialist knowledge in at least one area of game systems programming.

- Experience with defining tools and content generation pipelines for at least one shipping game, or similar work-related experience.

- A strong documentation ethic.

- Ability to train and mentor content creators in the use of tools created.

Advantages:-

- Experience with C# writing and maintaining managed code.

- Experience working with Maya and MEL scripting

- Experience working with shader languages (HLSL, Cg)

- Experience writing model exporters, explorer extensions, MFC.

- Experience with XSL, velocity templates, style sheets and XML coding

- Experience generating platform specific assets for next-generation console hardware.

- Experience with Perl, BAT and other common scripting language alternatives

- Experience with network engine programming

- Experience with physics engine programming.
