Job Description This AAA studio are looking for a Character Rigger to join their Character Rigging Team. Applications from experienced Riggers are welcomed although we are also happy to hear from recent graduates with an aptitude and experience in rigging.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within the highly successful and creative Animation department supporting animators and producing high quality rigs and tools.

Requirements:
  • Technically proficient in using Autodesk Maya to create control rigs for a wide variety of characters and creatures for use by the in-game animation and cutscene animation teams
  • Experienced in writing scripts within Mel. Knowledge of Python is a bonus
  •  Able to liaise with the Lead Character Rigger, other technical support staff and animators in trouble shooting
  •  Able to identify repetitive tasks and create tools to aid the creative team to increase productivity
  •  Willing to learn in-house tools
  •   In-depth knowledge of Maya is a must
  •   Show a sound understanding of animation principles and processes
  •   We're looking for candidates who are self-motivated and enthusiastic
  •   A good communicator and at ease with working in a team
  •   Capable of working to tight deadlines
  •   Degree, related qualification or equivalent experience in Animation
  •   Experience working with games

Fixed Term Contract: 12 months  
Salary: £DOE + Benefits
