Job Description	Level Designer Our client is a computer games company residing in the Netherlands who grew from a midrange internet company to the top of the Dutch games industry. They are currently developing a new MMO using the renowned Unreal® Engine™. The Game Design department is looking for a Level Designer to create the most impressive environments imaginable. This position will involve the creation of map layouts, mockups etc. and will involve a great deal of interaction with the Art and Content department. The ideal candidate will have experience in game design, strong imagination and the ability to translate and communicate these ideas. Requirements •Passionate about playing and making games; •Extensive experience as a MMORPG player; •Thorough understanding of what makes a game, especially a MMORPG, fun; •Ability to work well both independently as well as in a team; •Open to direction and critique; •Ability to discern between details and the bigger picture; •Ability to think 3D, not only think of maps as flat surfaces; •Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English language); •Ability to work well under deadlines; •Must live in or willing to relocate to the vicinity of The Hague, The Netherlands. Desirable skills & experience •Experience with the Unreal Editor; •Skill in Photoshop; •Knowledge of basic storytelling and fantasy concepts. Responsibilities •Design map layouts; •Create mock ups from your own designs; •Work closely with Content department to ensure their ideas fit in your designs; •Work closely with the Art department to make sure your ideas are correctly translated into a finalized map.
