| Job Description | Project Manager Our client is looking for a Project Manager with excellent and proven all-round skills. They must have a flexible can-do attitude, be able to work under high-pressure conditions and lead by example. The successful candidate will manage projects comprising one or more PC and Console service lines. Execution of these projects may take place in any of the company’s production facilities which are located in Asia, Europe and North America. The Project Manager coordinates internal delivery between all of the relevant departments whilst providing the sole interface with the client, and assumes responsibility for project budget control and project financial reporting. The role of Project Manager requires constant liaison between a variety of high-profile producers, project managers and developers in order to ensure the delivery of projects within a specified deadline and budget while seeking to apply the highest quality standards. Confident customer relations and excellent communication skills are essential. Key Responsibilities •Day to day management of projects, including liaison between clients/developers and internal or external teams. •Negotiation of project timelines with clients, and internal project scheduling. •Coordination with internal Support team to ensure most effective allocation of resources. •Maintenance of individual project budgets. •Project analysis and preparation of quotes and purchase orders. •Communication of work in progress reports (in-house and external). •Briefing and debriefing on each project with internal QA team (QA Coordinator assigned to project). •Briefing and debriefing on each project with external suppliers (freelance translators or typesetters, in-country studios). •Ensuring the most effective use of Translation Memory software on assigned projects. Requirements Essential: •Relevant experience of games or software localization and/or QA •Must possess ‘can-do’ attitude •Client-facing and negotiation skills •Ability to work effectively and decisively under pressure •Ability to handle multiple projects and multiple project types concurrently •Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks •Ability to prepare and control a work schedule and deliver to budget •Ability to prepare, interpret, and effectively utilise management information reports •Ability to analyse problems, recommend and implement effective solutions to difficult and politically sensitive problems •Excellent verbal and written communication skills •Basic IT literacy, specifically: MS-Office suite, Word, Excel, Outlook Desirable: •Formal Project Management techniques or training •Understanding of games development process •Understanding of console software submission requirements and process •Knowledge of bug tracking systems (Test Track Pro, Bugzilla, Bug Tracker or similar) •Experience with MS-Project Please contact David Smith on 0208 944 7777 or david@interactiveselection.com if you are interested in this position. |
