Job Description Lead Technical Animator

The Lead Technical Animator is a specialist in the technical aspects of animation. He must be knowledgeable in the area of rigging: IK, expressions, and constraints. The senior animator should be familiar with technical animation terms such as Euler, quaternion, etc... They must also be able to diagnose and resolve technical problems in an animation file. They must be able to understand the basic of the in-house engine and adapt to it. They must be able to create character rigs and facial expressions. Knowledge of a scripting language is a plus.

Requirements

•5+ years of experience in the video game industry

•Involved in the production of at least 3 published games

•Expertise in Maya, 3ds Max, Softimage XSI or other equivalent 3D software

•Technical expertise in rigging (IK, expressions and constraints)

•Training from an art school or training in 3D/2D animation program is a plus

•Knowledge of a scripting language (MEL Script / Max Script) is a plus

•Passion for animation and video games
