| Job Description | Lead VFX Artist We are looking for a Lead VFX Artist to support the Producer in the technical development of quality products using internal development teams and third parties, from initial design to final commercial mastering, within agreed schedules and costs. Responsibilities: Team Management • Lead the day to day management of the art team, with regular appraisal, review and objective setting for art team. • Ensure good communication & coordination between the art and other parts of the team (programming, level design, design, production) • Assist with recruitment and selection of staff for own team. • Liaise with external service providers as required. Scheduling • Prepare task schedules for art team in conjunction with Artists, other Leads, Producers and Project Planning Manager. • Monitor and progress tasks schedules for art team in conjunction with Producer & Project Planning manager as appropriate. • Identify and review task risks and recommend mitigation and contingencies Technical Design • Responsible for production of technical specifications (Technical Design) based on the game design document for the project. • Be involved in the design process, offering advice & information from a technical perspective. • Liaise with QA and compatibility departments & aid in testing plan Procedures and Standards • Ensure good art asset standards are set and achieved across the team • Maintain the art vision and style across the project Requirements: • Degree qualified in relevant subject • Minimum of 3 years games experience • Management and project planning experience • Experience of building business relations • Recruitment/interviewing experience • Platform art i.e. PlayStation2, Xbox, Game Cube, PC • Excellent understanding of production procedures and software employed in the team • Experience of MS Project preferred • Good interpersonal & motivational skills • Excellent written and verbal communication • Willing to travel on company business on a short notice Please contact Cassandra Donnelly on 0208 144 6336 or cassandra@interactiveselection.com if you are interested in this position.
