Job Description Currently, there is a great opportunity for a Lead Programmer in Los Angeles, CA. If you want to work in a fun, fast-paced and creatively challenging environment, this is the place for you. The ideal candidate will need to be able to manage their time wisely as they solve programming challenges with smart and efficient solutions. Applicants must also be able to work effectively and efficiently to meet deadlines while being self-directed.

JOB DESCRIPTION (to include but not limited to)

•Write, test and debug code for our game products (both PC and next generation consoles)

•Write clear, manageable and scaleable code

•Quickly familiarize with our existing codebase and complete architecture to assist with its continued development

•Mentor other engineers to improve the quality of the code submitted

•Improve overall code architecture with high quality submissions and training of other engineers

•Programming tasks in most of the areas of games: engine, graphics, AI, scripting gameplay, GUI, networking, etc.

•Develop and/or lead the programming of tools and utilities for the asset creation pipeline

•Improve overall engineering practices and processes

•Liaise with designers, producers and artists to implement new features, facilitate communication and shared understanding


REQUIREMENTS

•B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

•4 yrs programming experience in C / C++ is MANDATORY.

•Positive, team-oriented attitude.

•Able to focus and work without micro-management.

•Must be legally authorized or able to obtain legal authorization to work in the US.

•Have worked on at least two shipped high profile projects as senior programmer

DESIRED

•Has a strong interest in, and knowledge of the game industry

•Experience with Extreme Programming and Scrum would be beneficial

•Great written and oral communication skills

•Knowledge of Lua and/or Flash/Actionscript

•Leadership experience desired
