| Job Description | Senior Programmer Our clients R&D Development Team creates instructional materials to help developers understand the Hardware and SDKs to develop the best possible games on their platforms. They are looking for an experienced games programmer with both strong technical skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills to work on documentation, sample code and training materials for developers. The ideal candidate would have experience of a range of games development technologies from working directly with platform SDKs, perhaps as part of a core technologies team. Along with strong technical skills, he/she would have presented at technical conferences and contributed articles to websites, magazines or other publications. Responsibilities: Produce a range of documentation for developers, including technical white papers, training materials and article for websites on a wide range of development topics. Work on sample code tutorials for SDKs and research optimal techniques for the materials that you prepare. Give feedback direct to R&D teams on the usability of tools and libraries. Expand your experience and develop a deeper understanding of hardware, SDKs and development tools. Design and create technical presentations which youll present to developers at game developer conferences. Provide on-site training and consultancy to developers. Essential Skills / Experience: Educated to a least degree level in Computer Science or a related subject. Minimum 2 years games industry experience Experience of writing technical documentation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrable C/C++ and structured programming techniques Understanding of computer architecture, modern CPUs and GPUs. Experience of 3D graphics programming with OpenGL, DirectX or equivalent. Good interpersonal skills, the ability to work in a team. Willingness to travel for on-site visits with developers and conferences. Beneficial Skills / Experience: Console development experience on PS3 or PS VITA. Previously published articles on games development topics. Prior presentation experience at game developer conferences. Experience of low level programming and optimization.
