Job Description Our Client develops and publishes Smartphone and Tablet games. They are now looking for an experienced, motivated individual to run the Business Intelligence and Analytics Department. It would ideally suit somebody from a Business Intelligence background in games or retail, with a specific interest in the mobile market.

The successful candidate will have a diverse range of responsibilities, including the recording and dissemination of KPIs to the company, the monitoring of game analytics, the optimisation of advertising revenue and the co-ordination of user acquisition and cross promotion campaigns. He or she will need to work closely with marketing, creative directors and producers to achieve these goals, whilst delegating effectively to the Data Analyst working with them.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Analytics, Monetisation & User Acquisition Department
  • Own the analytics, user acquisition and monetisation software solutions, partners, updates. Continue to evaluate this moving market place and ensure our tools are best of breed and fit for purpose
  • Own and update pre-launch forecasts, as well as live tracking models, covering revenue, costs, ROI per project
  • Evaluate performance of Ad networks and manage inbound campaigns
  • Identify major points of Churn and design A/B Market Testing trails and other solutions to mitigate Churn
  • Identify optimal pricing and structure for In-App Purchases
  • Run A/B Tests on Marketing Assets: Supporting the Marketing Manager when market testing optimal name and icon for games before launch
  • Analyse customer demographics and feed into Marketing
  • Coordinate with Coders to add Analytics events to games. Ideally having a dotted line management of the SDK APP Programmer
  • Coordinate with Game Designers on changes based on Analytics findings. This relates not just to IAPs and advertising, but to measuring and optimising engagement and retention


Requirements:
  • Professional experience in a similar role within the games or retail industries
  • Experience in managing teams of people and external partners
  • Experience with analytics and monetisation software solutions
  • Confident to work in small teams
  • Numerate, accurate and dedicated, with a good working knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint
  • Ability to plan workload and prioritise tasks
  • Motivated and able to set their own goals
  • They should be able to produce analysis easily digestible by a range of recipients, whilst remaining relevant and informative
