Job Description Senior Online Programmer  

Our client is currently seeking an experienced online programmer to continue development of multiplayer game technologies for nextgen platforms, extending functionality and supporting emerging game play and online community features.  

Requirements of the role
  • Minimum of 3 years games experience with familiarity with development processes.
  • Excellent C/C++
  • Networking experience in TCP and UDP protocols
  • Architecture (cloud, client / server) experience
  • Experience with code optimization
  • Proven experience in designing and developing reliable and robust systems
  • Strong motivation to analyze and improve systems and infrastructure

  Pluses
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Experience on user interface development
  • Knowledge of Xbox Live / PSN and associated TCR issues would be a major benefit. Experience of other APIs such as GameSpy will be considered.
  • Low-level network knowledge and diagnosis including packet capture (tcpdump, wireshark), routing, firewalls, DHCP, DNS, NAT busting
  • Experience with multiple languages, including scripting languages like Python or Lua
  • A passion for video games
