| Job Description | Experienced Web Applications Programmer Are you passionate about Web technologies? Do you have experience building the front ends of massively scalable Web Apps? As a Web Applications Programmer you will be responsible for delivering a major component in the online video game platform. You will be required to design, implement, and deliver the next-generation web applications used to create online video games. These game development tools are all hosted in the browser and leverage the proprietary browser based game engine. The tools allow game developers to pull together their game assets, administer their game development, and will fully integrate with the game development and distribution service. The web tools will integrate with the game development and distribution service. You will be required to leverage the next-generation of web standards and technology. All programmers are expected to have excellent analytical abilities, and demonstrate a strong sense of product ownership, with a passion for technical excellence. We are looking for programmers who are proactive, vocal and passionate about contributing to all areas of the technology. Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and deliver the next-generation web applications used to create online video games. • Implement, optimise and maintain web applications. • Contribute to design, architecture and product planning. • Mentor and develop junior software engineers. • Write technical blog articles about your product expertise. Required Skills and Experience: • B.S. in a technical or design degree. • Fluency in: JavaScript (and Python a plus). • Expert and a passion for intuitive UI design. • Knowledge of web application technologies: jQuery, JavaScript Templates, HTML5. • Knowledge of Python web frameworks: Pylons, Pyramid or similar a plus. • Knowledge of so-called NoSQL databases: MongoDB, CouchDB or similar a plus.
