Job Description	Inside Social Games, a new blog dedicated to tracking the convergence between games and social networks, is seeking a part-time staff writer. As social networking platforms expand dramatically in 2008, interest in "social gaming" has risen dramatically. Inside Social Games was founded to bridge the conversation between game developers and social network application developers as new products and businesses emerge on: - Facebook - MySpace - The iPhone - New web sites - New mobile apps We're looking for someone who is passionate about games and social platforms/networks to join as part-time staff writer. You should have an understanding of the games industry landscape and business dynamics, as well as knowledge of major gaming genres and platforms. You should also have at least some familiarity with major new social platforms. Ideally, you have deep experience blogging and can hit the ground running. You will be expected to produce multiple articles per week covering: - New social game releases and reviews - Profiles of new game design/development companies - Interviews with game developers - Analysis of market growth (reporting on revenue numbers and models) - Tips, tricks, and cheats - Comparing game development on new social platforms to other platforms You will be expected to have: - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Strong initiative and dependability - Passion for games and new social platforms Compensation: - Depends on experience Please contact Justin Smith at editor@insidesocialgames.com if you are interested in this position.
