Job Description	GamesIndustry.biz is the world's leading site for news and information about the global videogames industry, covering all aspects of the interactive entertainment value chain from development through to retail. Based in the United Kingdom, but with an international focus, GamesIndustry.biz is aimed at anyone involved with the design, development, publishing, marketing, distribution or retail of video games, or anyone seeking to inform themselves about this fast-moving market sector. Key responsibilities: - Source news, interviews, features and other content for GamesIndustry.biz - Create and send the daily/weekly newsletters - Liaise with US editor on international stories - Maintain close relationships with editorial staff on sister sites, identifying potential content crossover - Maintain awareness of competitors and any relevant news agenda - Maintain and develop close relationships with all sections of the industry - Represent GamesIndustry.biz and the Eurogamer Network at events - Deputise for editor in his absence Qualities: - Motivation - Dedication - Attention to detail - Knowledge of games industry - People skills - Personal industry contacts preferable Experience: - At least 3 years working as a journalist with some experience of regular news writing - At least 1 year working in the games industry Hours: - 8am-5pm Monday to Friday - Occasional international travel - Occasional weekend/evening work as necessary, with flexible options as appropriate Location: - Brighton (UK), or working from home (UK only) Strictly no agencies please.
