Job Description Gamer Network, a multi-award winning Brighton-based media company, is looking for a talented Marketing Manager to work across its portfolio of video game websites and events.

Gamer Network has over 20 million monthly global unique users, over 100,000 visitors to its events each year and has brands based in the UK, Europe and the US. With an ambitious growth strategy for 2014 you will play a key role in driving the company forward.

Job Profile

As the Marketing Manager you’ll be an all-rounder that can lead the strategy and implementation of integrated, multichannel, results-driven marketing for some of the world’s biggest gaming websites and events including Eurogamer.net, GamesIndustry International, VG247, EGX and GameHorizon.

The role is the perfect opportunity for an individual to make their mark in this fast-paced and dynamic company. Ideally with experience of both B2C and B2B brand marketing, the individual would be a first-class and self-motivated marketer, copywriter and campaign planner with strong analytical and presentation skills.

Key areas of focus for this role include:

  • Devise, implement and measure marketing campaigns to increase ticket sales to our events
  • Work on co-promotion deals with our event exhibitors and sponsors to maximise the opportunities for all parties
  • Develop our website brands, including planning house ad campaigns and cross-promotional opportunities
  • Drive growth of our brands social channels and provide measurement, insight and reporting to influence where we focus our efforts
  • Measure and benchmark our competitors' performance
  • Maintaining the company’s corporate site and develop the corporate message
  • Raise the profile of the company and brands through PR, co-marketing deals, award nominations and media opportunities
  • Create and present regular readership research and commercial surveys to support the business
  • Secure and execute partnerships and contra deals


Experience Required

Whilst reporting directly into the COO you will need to be a self starter that can work closely with all the website editors, events team, internal departments and external partners to define and deliver the strategy.

You’ll have demonstrable experience of hands-on marketing for digital brands and be able to provide a portfolio of impressive work. A keen understanding of and a passion for digital marketing trends and innovation is essential.

Proving you also have strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills is essential, including a good understanding of consumer insight tools such as Google Analytics.

A proven track record in building digital brands and devising and managing successful digital marketing campaigns is a must. You’ll have strong strategic and creative skills as well as the ability to measure and analyse all activity against agreed KPIs.
