The company also publishes market-leading trade resource GamesIndustry.biz, Outside Xbox, a video site dedicated to the Xbox community, and represents several partner websites including VG247.com, RockPaperShotgun.com and NintendoLife.com

In addition to our online publications, Gamer Network produces live consumer and trade shows including EGX, the UK's largest gaming event, EGX Rezzed, the PC and indie games show, and GameHorizon, a leading trade conference.

Job Profile

Due to our continued sales growth and having a very successful brand with a dynamic demographic, we have a requirement for an ambitious Sales Manager to work as part of the Ad Sales team to drive growth across a range of clients.

Working with the biggest Games Publishers, Ad Agencies and Media Partners, this role will leverage the Gamer Network portfolio of sites and service the needs of our clients and partners.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Work as part of a team to cover the media / ad sales for the range of consumer-facing sites Gamer Network publishes.
  • Manage existing and new clients via telephone, email and face to face.
  • Grow market share across a network of websites and digital platforms.
  • Deal with games publishers and advertising agencies that handle customer-facing game accounts and brands.
  • Selling and presenting to a range of relevant Clients, Agencies and Media Partners.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Strong media / advertising sales ability
  • Previous commercial experience in a relevant role
  • Be able to sell online media / advertising solutions into videogame, entertainment and technology clients, agencies and media partners
  • High degree of business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Ability to present to all levels of seniority, both externally and internally
  • Manage and grow relationships with third party Ad Agencies.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • A strong work ethic with a high degree of determination and drive.
  • A positive attitude and a team mentality
  • Good standard of education, ideally to Degree level, or equivalent.
  • Show passion and excitement about the computer games sector.
  • An interest in the technology and lifestyle sector in general.

Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Extensive games industry experience, with a personal interest and passion for the sector.
  • An interest in the technology, entertainment and lifestyle sector in general.
