Tools / C++ Programmer - Key Role

Job Description A genuine innovator in the action / adventure genre based in the South East UK is looking for a Tools Engineer to work on state of the art tool pipelines and level editor systems for a major title in development.

This Development Studio is one of the genuine leaders in the current UK Games Industry and it is looking to hire an experienced Tools Engineer with strong C++ and Windows Development experience to work as a key member of an experienced, talented and focussed core technology team.

You will need to have solid skills in:-

- C++ / Windows application development,
- OOD and structured development methodologies
- Minimum of 2 years in a commercial environment expected.

Previous exposure to Game Tools / Content Editors / Art Pipeline development is key, as is:

- Solid grounding in 3D computer graphics, OpenGL or DirectX,
- Animation tools, editors and file converters/exporters
- Knowledge of C# and the .NET platform will also be a plus.
- Scripting languages such as Python, Lua, etc.
- Good knowledge of plug-ins for 3D Studio Max or Maya (Max Script/MEL Script) is also of interest

You will be working at the forefront of development on the Next Generation Consoles and you will need to have a high calibre background, including a good education in Software Engineering or a relevant subject.
