Job Description To apply:

An experienced Developer with UI and CSS expertise is sought to help build HTML5 based web applications and components for a cutting edge social games platform.

Requirements:

• Strong skills in creating development-ready complex layouts using semantically correct and valid markup in minimalist fashion, based on prepared visual design.

• Strong knowledge of HTML5 and W3C Standards.

• Deep understanding of HTML5 and CSS3 (selectors, display types, transformations, keyframe animations, transitions, 3D, pseudo elements, vendor-specific properties, box model, specificity, visual enhancements).

• Non-standard and artistic approach towards CSS.

• Ability to implement behaviors without JavaScript.

• Doing cool stuff even for IE6 should be a child’s play.

• Media queries, sprites, grids, data-URI’s, fluid and imageless layouts.

• Keeping current on new browsers, versions, capabilities, limitations and differences

• Solid knowledge of SEO techniques

• Used Agile Methodology as a software development process, particularly SCRUM

• Experience with standard revision control (SVN/Git) and defect tracking tools (JIRA)

• Used to work on Unix/Linux environments

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

• Passion for video games

• Willing to relocate to Frankfurt am Main, Germany

• Experience: 3+ years

• Positive "this can be done" attitude.

• Basic Photoshop skills.

Pluses:

• Other scripting languages, e.g. PHP, Python, Ruby

• Experience with JavaScript, OO, MV*patterns, JavaScript libraries

Responsibilities:

• Own the development of one or more frontend web components, from specification through design, coding, debugging, and deployment

• Work closely with QA engineers to ensure quality throughout the development cycle

• Work closely with Operations to install, configure and operate developed features, as appropriate

• Participate in the scoping and sizing of requirements using agile development methods
