Job Title Senior Technical Artist

Job Description This is the Sheffield studio of one of the largest independent games developers in Europe. This studio is building on the foundations of decades of experience and now making amazing products on the next-gen toolset, Unreal Engine 3.

Our client is looking for a Senior Technical Artist with solid industry experience.
The primary function for the technical artist is with providing a communications bridge between the art and programming team.

Primary functions:
VB scripting on XSI or Max scripting
Pipeline/tool chain design
Generate tools and enchantments to improve workflow
Understanding the technical potential of given platform
Plug-in creation.
Low Level programming
Shader Design using Cg or FX
Modelling and texturing
Lighting
Level creation/editing
Understanding of FX creation
Understanding of Animation/Rigging Skills include some of 3D, 2D, Animator, Design. Other words might include one or more of 3D Studio Max, Maya, Alias, Softimage, Lightwave, PhotoShop, Dpaint or Deluxe Paint, Character Studio, Low or High Polygon, Modelling, FMV. Please do not apply unless you have games experience.
