| Job Description | Making games since the early 1980s, this ever-expanding company is truly pushing the boundaries of what it means to develop games in the modern era. They’ve released numerous games on PS2, Xbox and GameCube and one on PSP (plus many PS1 games!) but also now develop for the next generation of consoles; PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, as well as for PC. Big things are happening at this company, everyone is heading in the right direction and the end product is again and again, outstandingly well made. This is a great chance to produce hyper real atmospheric effects (e.g rain, fog, snow) combat effects (e.g. weapons, damage, blood) and environmental effects (e.g. smoke, electricity, fire). Demo material should be relevant to the position of Special Effect Artist, including examples of your special effect work preferably by movie file or by screen grabs. This role is also open to formwer Environment Artists in the past but have an aptitude for special effects, please send work that demonstrates your passion in this regard. Skills include some of 3D, 2D, Animator, Design. Other words might include one or more of 3D Studio Max, Maya, Alias, Softimage, Lightwave, PhotoShop, Dpaint or Deluxe Paint, Character Studio, Low or High Polygon, Modelling, FMV.
