Job Description This central UK games company develops and publishes games for Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft and PCs, as well as multiplayer and world games for internet play. They have been in existence for years and have had many No 1 hits across Europe. They have been voted Publisher of the Year by gaming magazines.

They need an MMO Database Administrator for their Online Gaming Department. The successful candidate will ensure that the database is running correctly and provide the required level of service for their customers as well as developing enhancements and new features as required.

Skills/Experience Required:
- Educated to at least CGSE/O-level education level in Maths and English or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year practical and demonstrable MS SQL 2000/2005 Production DBA experience.
- Design and development of database objects
- Database backup and restores
- Setup and optimisation of SQL DBs
- Database replication
- Microsoft Clustering
- MS SQL Server 2000/2005 (Enterprise AND Standard Edition)
- Microsoft Windows 2003/2000/ADS
- Large scale/high performance databases
- Data Warehousing and MS Analysis Services
- Good level of competence in TSQL
- Interest in gaming, ideally online/ MMOs Skills may include some of maths, physics, 3D, graphics, direct x, renderware, tools, plugins, AI, C++, PS2, Xbox, Gamecube, PC, PSP, Unix, SDKs, OpenGL, MFC, Server, SQL, COM and .Net
