Founded in 1988, this company has created over fifty successful titles and is established as one of the leading games developers for the software industry. The company is best known for designing one of the most consistent best-selling series of all time.

They are looking for an an experienced network programmer to work on multiple AAA titles currently in development for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC platforms. The role includes a strong emphasis on working with multiplayer and online features but also includes working on core engine technology.

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the games industry using C/C++, with experience of using Playstation Network (PSN), Xbox LIVE, Steamworks and/or GameSpy APIs for matchmaking, stats and leaderboards for online multiplayer games. Experience of TCP and UDP socket programming in production code is preferred.

Qualifications:
First class or 2:1 degree in Computer Science, Maths, Physics or other computing-related subject would be preferred. Candidates with other degrees and those without higher academic qualifications are still encouraged to apply if they meet all of the experience criteria above.

Skills:
- Strong C/C++ skills
- Knowledge of Playstation Network, Xbox LIVE, Steamworks and/or GameSpy APIs
- TCP and UDP socket programming
- Enthusiasm for games
- Knowledge of network configuration (e.g. firewalls and routing tables) would be an advantage
