Games leader are looking for a senior proofreader to :

Anglicise online and offline written materials. This is a multilingual role where part of the function is to proofread physical gift tokens, which will need to be proofed in German, Spanish, French and Italian, so you need to have ideally two if not three of these languages.

Please note this is not a localisation role it is a games proofreading role and the client has asked specifically for this to be the prerequisite as the majority responsibility for the sucessfull candidate.

The key tasks include ensuring:

Spelling and style is correct, consistent and in line with Naming Conventions and House Style

Templated artwork and text is appropriately placed

Templated logos and trademarks are present and appropriately placed

Legal text – and redemption text where applicable – is accurate and up-to-date

All localised versions are free of basic formatting errors and recognisable mistakes

This will be for the following documents:

ESD cards.

Live cards and vouchers.

Hardware and peripheral packaging, manuals and inserts .

First party content – including full game, trailer, demo and game add-on text.

Online platform content – including news, features, game records and support articles.

Printed and digital sales flyers.

Point of sale materials.

Static and dynamic ad executions.

Press releases and Q&As.

Blog posts.

Trade and consumer brochures created in-house and by external agencies.

Promotional and collector’s item booklets and game guides created in-house and by external agencies.

Scripts and presentations.

Marketing plans and greenlight documents.

Aside to this you will be expected to:

Take responsibility for sign-off of all items listed above on relevant proofing or content management systems on behalf of the Copywriting and Online Content team.

Manage external proofreaders and agencies when extra capacity is required, with responsibilities including, but not limited to, creating Briefing Forms; conducting briefing sessions; responding to Feedback Forms; checking quality of Agency’s work and tallying up manual page counts.

Assist the Head of Online Content and Copywriting to induct and train new starters in the Copywriting and Online Content team to proofread effectively.

Build and maintain relations with Commercial Development, Creative Services and Marketing teams, for leading games company.
