Job Description To apply:

Working at the cutting edge of mobile technology you will be based within in the Cambridge R&D division of one of the world's largest developers of smartphone technology and will have the opportunity to use your creative talents and knowledge of real time graphics to exploit the processing power of their Android smartphone chipsets.

Role:

You will be working within a small, multi-skilled graphics development team where creativity and innovation are welcomed, developing a graphics SDK and tool chain for application programmers, 3D artists and user interface designers. As a specialist in graphics, you will also be regularly interacting with development teams and customers in the Far East.

Your role will involve maintaining and extending the in-house graphics engine as well as finding exciting and groundbreaking ways to demonstrate its capabilities. This will include:

Development of engine features and visual effects

Development of educational Android applications, tutorials and documentation

Collaboration with user experience and application development teams across the world

Interaction with technology partners

Direct support of leading handset manufacturers

Performance optimization and debugging across a range of mobile platforms and GPU's

Skills Required:

Excellent C++ programming skills as well as confident writing in Java

Excellent in-depth knowledge of 3D graphics processing

Strong software engineering skills in maintainability, modularity, scalability, and memory efficiency

Mathematical skills, especially applied to 3D models, motion, animation, etc

GLSL or similar shader language

Desirable Skills:

OpenGL-ES Development of Android applications

Use of 3D modeling packages such as 3DS Max, Maya or Blender

Coding for real-time embedded systems

Other languages, such as Python Visual C, Eclipse, Git, Gerrit, Redmine, Jenkins

You should be able and willing to travel internationally (from time to time)
