My client is a multi award winning game studio based in the capital of the world otherwise known as London!!! They are currently in the process of expanding the already amazing studio (Trust me I have had the tour) and looking to add to its family of staff. They are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Community Manager to join the team.

In collaboration with a team of international colleagues, the role will primarily involve the execution of digital initiatives across the full range of online, social and community channels. Additionally, the role will frequently involve live gameplay presentations and the Studios PR at industry events around the world.

The successful candidate’s deep understanding of social media, highly developed presentation skills and experience in community management coupled with a love of video games will form the driving force behind an innovative and effective promotional campaign for a highly anticipated upcoming AAA title.

The successful candidate will undertake the following responsibilities:

• Become a daily point of contact for fans of the studios titles across owned and earned media channels, as part of a highly visible promotional campaign.
• Present live demonstrations of gameplay to fans and gaming press with confidence and flair.
• Monitor and react to forum activity, ensuring that the voices of our fans can be heard and responded to quickly and effectively.
• Identify and engage with key community influencers.
• In collaboration with internal and international colleagues, deliver an exceptional social media and community campaign supporting Marketing and PR.
• Working hand-in-hand with PR and Marketing to agree necessary approvals and to deliver messaging across all relevant social channels.
• Ensure a consistent tone and approach in external communications at all times.
• Identify, approve and manage outreach to fan websites.

The candidate will ideally have the following qualities:

• Highly confident, with first-class presentation and communication skills including experience with all forms of media and large, live audiences.
• Technical knowledge of community platforms, systems and software.
• Keen interest in emerging developments in social media, digital marketing and communications.
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally.
• An innovative thinker, with excellent attention to detail, time management skills and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Able to work as part of a development team and be a positive and pro-active contributing member.
• A keen interest all forms of art, technology and entertainment.
