About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of Innovation and Strategy at Camelot. Even though we have big brands, wide reach, global ambition and massive weekly sales, we run a relatively small operation allowing our people to have a real contribution and impact to the National Lottery brands so the scope of this role is huge.

This role will see you creating innovative and challenging breakthrough consumer and commercial ideas and the opportunity to reposition our £2b Instants category through gaming innovation, strategy and development. You will lead the innovation and strategy for instants in line with its ambitious product, channels and player base growth plans. This will include but not be limited to: 
  • To create concepts and initiatives within the innovation platforms for National Lottery Instant games
  • To deliver and develop gaming innovation across the Instants category
  • Determine the launch portfolio and game designs, gaining the necessary regulatory approvals
  • The assembly of the business case, launch plan and mobilisation of the business
  • Identifying and creating solutions for any barriers
  • Leading cross functionally through the business working across various departments within the business
  • To support the execution of new games in the market
  • To collectively maintain and develop an overall innovation pipeline that aligns and drives the 5 year plan

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a candidate that has significant experience in the gaming industry. Gaming concept creation and/ or designing of gambling products is desirable. In addition to this, we are looking for the following experience and attributes:
  • Solid experience in digital innovation including delivering significant innovation projects to market
  • Strong understanding of how to do innovation (pipeline, innovation project management and techniques)
  • Brand experience of launching and repositioning of brands or portfolios
  • Strong understanding of how to take innovation concepts from launch to market through business case, development and cross functional working
  • Experience in creating technical requirements, prototyping and testing
  • The ability to create commercial partnerships across the business up to board level
  • The ability to drive things forward and get through barriers
