Blizzard Entertainment Europe was founded in 2003 and is a constantly growing company. With a current staff of more than 700 employees comprising 24 nationalities, you will work in a highly multicultural and dynamic environment.

A relocation package will be provided for any successful candidate. Blizzard will assist with all the administrative tasks for you to get settled in a foreign country, such as registering for social security, opening a bank account, finding a flat, and setting up amenities.

Localization Manager

Position based in Velizy, France (southwest of Paris)
Permanent work contract
Starting Date: Immediate
Reports to: Technical Platform Director

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage the localization/translation team (approx. 30 people)

  • Coordinate closely with European QA Manager and with US Global Localization Manager

  • Management the localization/translation process for French, German, Spanish and Russian

  • Management of localization through external vendors

  • Management of the tender process for external vendors - selection, planning and coordination of deadlines

  • Management of the sound recording studio

  • Responsible for the quality and consistency of the localization of games set in the different Blizzard’s universes – Warcraft, StarCraft and Diablo


REQUIREMENTS
  • Fluent in English

  • 3 to 5 years experience managing localization teams

  • A strong motivation, high level of commitment and excellent teamwork skills

  • Experience in managing multicultural teams

  • Able to work on several different projects simultaneously


PLUSES
  • Previous work experience in an international environment with non-European headquarters

  • Good knowledge of World of Warcraft and Blizzard licenses (Warcraft, StarCraft and Diablo)
