|Job Description||Big Bit is a young, exciting, independent game development studio situated in the scenic surroundings of the South Downs on the outskirts of Brighton. We develop on a variety of platforms and genres, and are ramping up our studio size as we continue to grow and work on a diverse range of projects. We’re looking for an experienced project manager to join our team.
As the successful candidate you will be working with the code, art and design disciplines to manage their workloads and progress against backlog and milestone tasks. You'll track risk and perform statistical analysis and report to studio management on a regular basis.
You'll form a relationship with our clients, communicating progress on work, provide build notes for deliverables, and own the backlog and task assignments. Key points from conference calls and meetings will be documented by you and shared with relevant parties. You'll bring enthusiasm and passion to the role, with diligence and a keen eye for detail.
No specific qualifications are necessary but it would be beneficial if you possess a good understanding of agile development processes and what it takes to create video games. Ideally should be an avid gamer with broad tastes in interactive entertainment, with excellent communication skills.
Ideally a minimum of two years’ experience in project management role. Video game experience is not essential, although experience of scheduling software development and in related fields is desirable.
Ability to manage an agile development environment, manage tasks and track progress.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Good self-management skills and ability to work to deadlines
Excellent written English with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a way that everyone can understand
