Job Description	This well established developer is currently looking for a number of senior artists to join the highly successful studio based in the Midlands and assist them in the creating of another AAA hit. They are in need of individuals with excellent leadership and creative ability to join the team and ensure that the game’s graphical quality is kept consistently high, with an exciting and distinctive look while helping to provide artistic direction to the art team and offering guidance to members when needed. Responsibilities will include: - Working with conceptual artists to forge a cohesive game look and feel for production graphics - Making sure other artists are adhering to the agreed artistic style of the production and offering guidance for artists that may require assistance in techniques or skills - Liaison with other artists on the team to ensure that they are happy with what they are doing and working to their areas of expertise - Agreeing technical limitations with Technical Lead Artist while guaranteeing the assets created can be high enough quality while adhering to the restrictions - Liaise with persons responsible for scheduling to discern who is appropriate to take on certain tasks and determine realistic time scales for completion of these - Hands-on modelling, texturing and other duties to help formulate style and quality templates - Liaise with technical art lead, art director, artists and code departments as the creative representative of the team - Included in the recruitment mechanism, interviewing prospective candidates and contouring the team skill set. You will need the following skills and experience: - Industry experience with proven success in a senior artist position - Good communicator - Very artistic but with an eye for technical requirements - Strong leadership ability - Able to liaise between different disciplines but with an artistic focus - Very strong 2D and 3D art skills and in some of the following, 3DS Max, Maya, Photoshop, painter, mud box and 2brush - Good Illustration skills a bonus - Vast knowledge of target platforms and software to be used for creation of assets - A firm understand of composition, balance, lighting, colour concept and other elements that add to visual coherence - Open, excited, visionary, driven and resourceful.
