Job Description Microsoft Games Studios (MGS) has an exciting opportunity for 4 European Business Managers to provide business, strategic and financial planning for Xbox and Windows games being developed by key development partners such as Rare and Lionhead Studios.

Reporting to the Business Management Director, the new business manager will join a small entrepreneurial team to help establish and grow the newly created MGS Europe division.

Role and Responsibilities

• Work with business development to take new games from prototype into production,
• Manage strategic business relationships with development partners,
• Manage the budget and P&L for each franchise,
• Organize and manage key outsourcing and vendor relationships,
• Drive franchise planning and work closely with program management, marketing and other functions to create great gaming franchises.

The post holder will have the ability to carry out independent financial and business case analysis, negotiate contracts, analyze competitive products and categories as well as participate in strategic planning and business development.

Additional Information

The post holder will be a successful project, budget and people manager and will be expected to work effectively across a variety of workgroups. Superb analytical and communication skills are a pre-requisite.

Experience of working within a global organization would be an advantage. The ideal candidate will have direct experience in the games industry and a passion for games is essential.

The ability to travel effectively, nationally and internationally, is an important requirement of this role.

Qualifications

An excellent standard of educational achievement is required. Ideally, candidates should have a university degree, MBA or equivalent or be of degree calibre.

Salary 60-80k DOE + Car and Benefits
